Robert Burton graduated in 2004 and after gaining experience in the field of crane operations, heavy haulage and international shipping he worked for a number of years as a senior engineer surveyor. Robert then chose to combine his interest in boats and the marine sector with his technical inspection background to begin offering marine surveys in early 2020.
He has a Bachelor of Engineering Degree with Honours from Heriot Watt University along with qualifications from the International Institute of Marine Surveying and the Boat Safety Scheme.

Yachts and small craft
Robert Burton enjoys working on and sailing small craft of many types. He also enjoys canal narrowboat holidays with family and friends. He has an interest in maritime heritage and nautical archaeology and is a member of the
Nautical Archaeology Society.

Robert has worked throughout the UK and in various locations around the world including France, Germany, Israel and Denmark to carry out crane operations, heavy haulage and international shipping.
